“No Indian Movie Will Release In Pakistan”, Says Pakistan I&B Minister, Fawad Chaudhry
The tension between India and Pakistan has escalated. After some Indian filmmakers decided to not release their movies in the neighbouring country, now Pakistan has declared a total ban on Indian content
The Pulwama terror attack caused an upheaval in the country. India retaliated by carefully planning and executing a surgical strike on Jaish-e-Mohammad camps. In the wake of these happenings, the tension between the two nations has increased and even art exchange is being curtailed.
Filmmakers of movies Total Dhamaal, Luka Chuppi and Arjun Patiala announced that they won’t release their movies in Pakistan. Even FWICE, AICWA announced a blanket ban on Pakistani artistes from working in India. Now, the Information & Broadcasting Minister of Pakistan, Fawad Chaudhry has declared that all Indian content will be boycotted. He tweeted, “Cinema Exhibitors Association has boycotted Indian content, no Indian Movie ll be released in Pakistan. Also have instructed PEMRA to act against Made in India Advertisements. #PakistanTayarHai”
